Hey guys, did you already encounter any fakers? I´m interested how often people cheat, especially in online poker rooms and if they do how is that possible? Have you also tried to cheat at some stage ?

well faking or bluffing online can be a dangerous tactic to use. As someone might call you out. As you know the only way you can tell someone is bluffing is by guessing. You can read their body language (sitting position, voice, fidgeting, etc) and guess about how they are playing now in respect to their past way of playing. But online you can't see body language, and all you can work off is how they have played previously.

As for cheating online, I don't think it is possible. Infact I have never heard about it.

I'm sure you can cheat online, by having sharing the details of your cards with other players.

As for faking, I normally don't do it at the start, as people are willing to call you on something in order to see how you are playing. I will either do 1 or 2 bluffs early on and then wait a bit or just do bluffs near the end of the poker game.
