Just sitting here at home playing online and waiting for the game to start, and I was thinking to myself as to the best hand I ever won, either in a real live game or on line. I think it would be the time when I pocked about €750 on a single hand on Paddy Powers, The blinds were €5, and all of the other 8 players seemed to limp in. I had 2H & 6H and decided to play along as well.
The flop had QC / JD / 5H
and one of the lads decided to raise it to €20, to frighten out anyone, I think he was pretty inexperienced.
Surprisingly there was 5 left who joined in.
Turn was 3H which was pretty neutral and probably didn't effect anyone too much, but with over €100 in the pot newbie wanted to grab it and pressed again for €50. This time 3 followed in, and I knew my chances of winning were pretty good, well worth the €50 anyway. Now we were at €250 or so
River lands the needed 4H, newbie raises with 70, next lad folds, and I re-raise 150.
Newbie things a little and jumps all in, he had just less than €100 on him so I knew that he was snookered, but in a last ditch attempt he wanted to win. I call, he turns over QD / JS and I wave my straight flush :)
